Thursday 4th Dec 2008 was the Annual Christmas Meeting at Ricks QTH. Rick is a great host and with the addition of Peter's Chillie we ate and drank in style! Fancy coffees and plenty of food! Thanks again Rick.
In the tradition of the Annual Meeting at Rick's, a white board session was lead by Brian looking at what the Group should achieve for the next 12 months.
Rob has documented this and it will be published soon. But in summary, sorry if it is not 100% correct:
Q-Bit. We will continue the focus on publishing this at a high standard, and work to ensure a steady supply of good technical articles.
Belmont: Tower refurbishment will be completed
Belmont : Equipment refresh. This will be initiated and completed in the next year
Colonial Knob: We will re-instate the radio gear and antennas and improve the site
Convention: We will support and attend the VHF Convention, providing speakers and attendees as well as leading the sessions we have lead in the past.
NZART Conference: We will attend and contribute to Conference, and ensure those with VHF interests are served.
Ham Radio Classes: We will schedule and run two sets of classes
Publicity and Promotion of Ham Radio: We will form a group to continue this work across websites and other media
JOTA: We will promote and provide a great JOTA program
SDR (Software Defined Radio): We will promote and lead projects around SDR
