Meetings

The September meeting will commence at 7:30 pm, at the Tawa Community Centre, Cambridge Street, Tawa.

For this meeting Bob Morris ZL2AVM will give an illustrated talk on the topic of tubular steel guyed masts and discuss the technical aspects to be considered when choosing and rigging this type of mast. Bob has a wide experience with large transmitting sites and he has some hair-raising anecdotes to relate. This talk promises to be both informative and entertaining.

Our speaker this month is Bruce Emirali, The N.Z. Defence Force Spectrum Manager who will make a presentation on and discuss the Defence Force planning and use of radio spectrum. He will cover the planning aspects, and the strategic and tactical use of radio spectrum by branches of the Defence Force in the delivery of their defence roles.
